FAQ’s

In Vedic astrology, the Zodiac (Rashi Chakra) is a 360° belt in the sky, divided into 12 Rashis (signs) of 30° each. These Rashis, starting from Mesha (Aries) and ending with Meena (Pisces), form the backdrop against which planets move. Each Rashi has its own nature, ruling planet, and qualities, and the position of planets in them at birth forms the basis of a horoscope (Janma Kundli).

In Vedic astrology, a House (Bhava) is one of the 12 divisions of the horoscope that represent different areas of life. While Rashis show where planets are placed in the zodiac, Bhavas show which aspect of life they influence—such as self, wealth, siblings, home, marriage, career, etc.

The 1st house begins at the rising sign (Lagna) at the time of birth, and the rest follow in order. Thus, Bhavas personalize the zodiac for an individual.

In Vedic astrology, a Nakshatra (constellation) is one of the 27 divisions of the zodiac, each spanning 13°20′. They are the finer subdivisions within the Rashis.

Nakshatras describe the deeper nature, behavior, and karmic patterns of planets placed in them. Each Nakshatra has a ruling deity, planet, and specific qualities, making them very important for birth star (Janma Nakshatra), personality traits, compatibility, and timing (Muhurta & Dasha).

In Vedic astrology, the Rising Sign (Ascendant or Lagna) is the zodiac sign rising on the eastern horizon at the exact time and place of birth.

It is the starting point of the horoscope and becomes the 1st house, shaping the physical body, personality, health, and overall life path. While the Moon sign shows the mind and emotions, the Ascendant shows the external self and how one engages with the world.

In Vedic astrology, the Moon Sign (Janma Rashi) is the zodiac sign where the Moon was placed at the time of birth.

It reflects the mind, emotions, instincts, and inner nature of a person. Janma Rashi is also used for naming, Dasha predictions, transit effects, and compatibility (Guna Milan), making it very important in daily life influences.

In Vedic astrology, a Dasha period is a planetary time cycle that shows which planet’s influence is active in a person’s life.

The most widely used is the Vimshottari Dasha, which covers 120 years, divided among the 9 planets in fixed durations. Each planet’s Dasha brings results related to its nature, placement, and strength in the horoscope, thus timing major life events like marriage, career changes, health issues, or spiritual growth.

Interpretations differ because astrology is a vast and subtle science, and each astrologer may focus on different factors:

Different techniques → Some rely more on Rashi & Bhava, others on Nakshatra, Dasha, or divisional charts.

Depth of analysis → Some read only basics, others go into yogas, aspects, strengths, and remedies.

Intuition & experience → Astrology also requires intuitive insight, which varies from person to person.

Prioritization → One astrologer may stress Dasha results, another may emphasize transits (Gochara).

Thus, variations arise, but when deeply examined with multiple parameters, predictions often converge on the same life themes.
